I have retreated to The Crevice.
I've got a 3+ month old to go with my 2+ year old, so time to play games is not so much limited, but erratic. I try to sit down with a game for 20 minutes? Screaming five minutes in. I play some rerun game for three hours? Silence.
So I've got a few games I still really want to play (Dishonored 2, DOOM). But my last few months have been the PS4 remasters of Bioshock / 2 / Infinite. And Borderlands 1/2.
Sadly, despite beating those 3 games approximately 50+ times (about 40 being Bioshock), I am pumped because I get to redo the Achievements. Sorry, "Trophies".
im "hey zipperlips" on PSN and "ricky caldwell" on XBL.
I'm never going to play anyone online, but my friends list is sad as hell.
replayed bioshock and bioshock 2. still great.
also, hopefully rockstar doesn't delay red dead 3
Bioshock 2 is always weird to me. Maybe it's because I am emotionally tied to the original like a father to another father that he is in love with.
But 2 was really great, but could never fully shed the "What's... off here?" I never liked Lamb as an antagonist, but I loved working with Sinclair. Though due to B1's twist, I spent all of 2 waiting for Sinclair to screw me over.
Minerva's Den, though. God DAMN. Every time I play it, despite knowing the story, I get punched in the gut. So well done.
the first bioshock is still #1 top game for me. never beat infinite, going to try to get back into it
Bioshock very well might be #1 for me. If not, easily top 3 and fighting for the top spot.
I'm terrible with FPS games. It was a pain in the ass to finish Bioshock and I'm sure it's gonna be an even bigger pain in the ass to plat it when I get around to it. I don't play as much as I used to when I was younger, and whenever I find the time to play games, it's either NHL or Rocket League. I built my new computer last month and already have 100 hours wasted on Rocket League v__v I have a backlog of 200+ games (from the PS3 era onward) that I'm never going to get through ughhhh
try playing on pc with a mouse
I just beat Resident Evil: Biohazard last weekend. That game was so awesome, I really enjoyed it. I had mentioned on the previous board that I have never played any Resident Evil games before. So I will definitely buy the remastered version of the original and play that as well. The vibe was great, it was like at any moment something crazy can happen that may or may not scare the shit out of you.
I recently bought the Bioshock collection for Xbox One which is all three games (all of which I've already played prior), but since getting some other Xbox One games (like Doom) and now Switch/Zelda, I haven't touched it yet, lol. Eventually though...
P.S. Doom is awesome - still playing through story mode, now in the hell areas. Zelda as well, but that's obvious.
Currently playing ESO and Cities:Skylines
another game you need a pc to play properly
If your friends list is more than zero, you're doing better than me. Not big on playing people online either.
Children have also taken a dramatic cut into my video game playing.
I like Mario Kart 8 deluxe.
I've never been much on online playing. It's a combination of weird times I play (going back to high school), and just wanting to play when I want to play. I want to throw on a game and play a bit for 30 minutes here and there? My choice. I want to go online? I need to either allow a big chunk of time to play stuff to their end, or I can be a dick and just play for a bit and sign out, probably leaving other people with a lesser experience.
My online loves:
Doom II. I was into it until my parents realized I was using a long distance number for DWANGO, which ended that.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I played the beach level for... probably as much time as I spent for my Associate's degree.
Left 4 Dead 1/2
That's about it.
The controls in the original resident Evil remaster are horrendous. The camera is stationary in each room and it's generally impossible to navigate without running in to walls. I found it unplayable. I really liked RE4, but I played it on Wii and the controls were much better in that game with the wii remote compared to the PS4 controller.
Did y'all see they're remastering StarCraft? That shit takes me back. I just might have to get it since my computer is now connected to my 55" 4K HDR TV. The future is now.
