    *too

And I said there were three versions of Hulk and Spider-Man which is a more egregious saturation of characters.

    The fucks wrong with you?

I could give a crap about the character recasts in any of the franchises prior to the MCU/DCEU. Those movies are all that really matter now when it comes to recasts, at least imo.

GotG is on TV right now. I was never familiar with these characters growing up. Man, the first time I saw this movie, I was high AF and had NO CLUE what was going on. It ended and was like WTF did I just watch!!!

I have never smoked (SQUARE ALERT), but could see GOTG being wild as hell under the influence. Outer space, raccoons and tree people, ripped Pratt - that's got to be a good time while high.

As for the Affleck talk. I didn't think BVS was good, but was fine with it because of the Bat suit - and Gadot. I've never re-watched it, probably never will. I still don't know what to think of Justice League. I think my feeling is that it's not a good movie, but I had a lot of fun watching it. That's good enough for me - I'd watch it again for sure.

Anyway - I can't tell if I like Affleck for the role, or if my opinion is clouded by the fact that his suit is the best non-animated Bat suit put on screen. Not even close, in my opinion. It might be the closest we get to comic bats in live action. They could possibly go more Bermejo and make the suit more tactical and less action hero, but for now this is the closest we've gotten to a comic suit.

I'd put it as Affleck suit, then Batman Begins, then... I don't really care to rank after that. They all have pros and cons.

Aside from a touch of a cold, nothing.

See you fail, AGAIN, to get my original point, here's the ELI5 version: Juke wanted Affleck to stay on as Batman. I replied asking did he want old broke down batman? Then I expressed my exasperation that having 2 different versions of broke down batmen was more than enough. I'll add more context that other people picked up, I don't want broken down, old batman movies, that's not interesting take on the character. Next I joked about the Affleck's Batman, a la Rocky 4, training montage.

Hope that you can now understand I was talking about not wanting broke down old batman. That's it. Not re-castings as you've attempted to pivot the conversation to.

But, to address your point about the re-castings, it doesn't bother me, its going to happen for every superhero character. For me, as long as they are good castings, have a good story and creative side, I'm game. Sigh, recasting does not cause saturation of the character, that would be due to a *too high number of movies, books, TV, video games, and w/e other media appearances that occur in to short of a time frame. That is saturation. Maybe you mean it diminishes the character, which can happen and be undone. For example I did not go see the 2nd Andrew Garfield Spider-man movie in the theater on account he was bad in the role, also the story, lastly creative/director weren't getting it right. His portrayal and the questionable creative diminished my desire to see Spider-man. However, with the casting of Holland and Sony playing ball with Disney/Marvel I'm back on board and enjoying the movie Spider-man character again.

It's nigh time you gazed in thine mirror and ponder, what, pray tell, is wrong with thyself.

I don't understand that. You liked the badass Frank Miller overtones but didn't enjoy how they melded the Death of Superman and Dark Knight Returns storylines into a cool ending. So many visual boners in that movie that jumped off of the page. Plus Affleck really rocked the shit in that one.

Very simply, having the electronic voice disguising thing was the biggest reason the actor/suit was better in these movies.

Justice League isn't what it was intended to be. There were awesome parts but it could've been much better.

    Snyder cut!

Cool post, did you see the Spider-verse movie?

In other news, Silver Surfer may be getting a movie......

Adam McKay revealed he’s been talking with Marvel to direct a Silver Surfer movie to MTV News at the Golden Globes.

"There actually has been some discussion about Silver Surfer. My agent certainly woke up. They were excited. We’re in the middle of, you know, backing Vice right now, but, who knows, maybe in a couple months it could pop up. I really am excited about that idea. So, we’ll see what happens."
