Just saw your post on FB. My good friend in LA has been a Dodgers fan for like 50+ years. Need to check in on him tonight.
Obviously you can’t be a member of society and know pop culture and not know what that movie is about and the characters. I just simply haven’t sat down and watched it.
Some of them are funny. Some of them are really bad. They are all very low-brow entertainment. Probably the highlight for me is Michael Winslow, who can make these insanely accurate sounds with his voice. (He's in Space Balls, too.) This is terrible quality, but it's a good sample: And here’s a scene with the woman who died, Marion Ramsey. (The Capitol Police could've used her on Wednesday.):
I've always had a small grudge with Lasorda for eliminating the Mets in 88. But that LA team (and Oakland, come to think of it) was a cool team, so after 32 years I don't have that many hard feelings. Still some, though. Other than that blemish, Lasorda was awesome - an absolute legend and icon. I'll pour some out of my Slim Fast shake in honor.
I've been following his commercial advice for like a decade. for breakfast for lunch Followed by a sensible dinner.
Here's something to cheer everybody up. http://godslittlepeople.blogspot.com/2009/02/d-amini-was-55-when-she-was-rescued.html
Loved her in LOST. I really need to do a rewatch. RBI Mira Furlan aka Rousseau https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/mira-furlan-dead-babylon-5-lost-1234890117/
