I've definitely given you a TOOOOOOON of shit for your Crimson waved filibustering but that last part is so true.

Clemson has definitely stepped up but no other team can even imagine the sustained success of Alabama and Saban. It's just like the Patriots.

You have to give major respect to excellence and that's him and the program.

I do understand wanting to see other teams get to the championship but that's an expansion of the playoffs convo.

I was doubtful that Dabo could get Clemson to where he's gotten them, but he's definitely made it. Gotta tip your hat to what they have been able to accomplish. Bama hasn't lost a game that badly on the scoreboard since the 90's, no matter how the stats played out.

But there has been a lot of gnashing of teeth over this loss supposedly signaling the end of the Saban/Bama dynasty (heard that before). Saban is a young 67 and is one of the most driven people in the profession (and on the planet).

Last year he tried bringing in a bunch of energetic, young, recruiting-focused (but inexperienced) coaches and the coaching on the field suffered. Now he's bringing in some seasoned vets to coach up the incredible talent that is already there.

Dabo has been lucky to have long-tenured assistants who have either been not interested in HC jobs (Venables) or not highly coveted. Bama is seemingly replacing 4, 5, 6 coaches every year and it has a serious effect when they get into games where they can't just out-talent the opposing team.

If this new coaching staff works out for Bama, I could see Saban riding it out another 5 years or so and hanging it up, hopefully after another title or two...

Funny. As I said, I profited off the Bama loss, so why would I be mad?

Saban got outcoached. I'm sure everyone is scared of his competitive fire...

The Clemson QB is the real deal.

The whole Bama coaching staff got outcoached which is why it is getting a wholesale remodel.

Clemson's QB is good, but their receivers were the stars. They bailed him out of a bunch of not-so-great throws by making amazing catches. Those guys are impressive and a lot of them are young too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another few Bama/Clemson rematches in the near future...

BSU vs UWash tonight. Dick move by the committee: Coach P is retiring after this game. They're having him play against the program he built as his sendoff

the committee shouldn't arrange games to accomdate individuals. That would be absurd.

The committee is a joke anyway. I am an unabashed Bama fan, but how does a team lose to the #1 team by 5 points and the #12 team by 3 points and get ranked #13? Especially behind Wisconsin who lost to lowly Illinois and got blown out twice (for a total of 3 losses). Then there's Georgia still sitting at #5 after getting blown out by LSU and losing at home to a bad South Carolina team.

People clamored for a playoff to get away from the "subjectivity" of the BCS and somehow it was decided that the solution was a 13-member committee consisting of members with literal stakes in the outcomes of the playoffs, including current sitting athletic directors. To their credit, they've mostly gotten the top 4 right but most everything behind that has been a farce. It's only going to get worse when the playoffs expand too.

Trump getting a massive ovation by the capacity crowd along with chants of "USA USA USA" Obama would have been booed and told to go the fuck back where he came from. American pride is back baby!
