I almost went off on that, but politely asked for album info instead

Nevermind, the last 4 posts already summarized what I was about to say. You almost made me blow a fucking gasket though. You are either a very cruel person who likes to pull on our heart strings for the sake of comedy, or have been in a coma for the duration of this thread. Bery vad joke

I feel like John feldman is unfairly taking the blame when it’s actually nick’s fault. This is the direction nick wants to take the band, he’s just using feldman as his outlet. I’m telling you guys, 311’s image has always been corny. At first it was the “super pro 420, complain about society, we’re outsiders, stay positive stuff”, it’s just that their music was so good and maybe we were younger and more impressionable. Now it’s corny, but in a poppy, chasing for a hit kind of way with less controversial subject matter. I will never discredit them as musicians, and those first 5 albums are great, but their subject matter and imagery is pretty much built for teenagers still stuck in the conspiracy theory, rebellious, angry, pro drugs phase. It reeks of inferiority complex, or maybe virtue signaling. The reason i’m pointing this out is because maybe I never would have noticed if it wasn’t for their music getting bad. Or maybe I happened to grow up and mature at the same time their music got bad

It's almost as if you haven't listened to Mosaic and Stereolithic. Just wow.

Can you at least try to give your opinion without the unnecessary, pretentious drivel?

Person A: I have some latent addictive tendencies.
    Person B: Let's try heroin!

    Blame Person B.

Which part was pretentious? What was I pretending to be? I’m not asking this rhetorically either, I will actually issue you some further clarification and perhaps an apology if you point out which part of that was flawed.

Let’s be real, the feldman tracks are no better or worse than the worst uplifter tracks. We all secretly deep down know nick was behind the feldman connection

Stereolithic was what kept me a fan. If that one sucked, I was ready to give up. Mosaic just plain confused me because they had a good album but had to unnecessarily tarnish it with the feldman bullshit. Sorry, but it’s just my opinion that the strength of 311’s music outweighs their corniness. Don’t get me wrong they have good intentions and seem like nice people, but their image is questionable. Think about it, their target demographic is basically the average familia member. You think they attract those kind of people by accident?
