When is the lady time you watched them? They dive out of a plane in a rubber raft, which hits the ground flat before sliding down a mountain and then dropping another 300 feet into a river where it lands flat again before they end up in white water rapids. None of them do much as have the wind knocked out of them.

Last night I watched Adrift, aka Shailene Woodley (sp???) grunting for a good part of 90ish minutes with an insulting, dumb 'twist'.

Gotta agree with you here. However Crystal Skull still sucks. Before this all came to Netflix I re-watched Temple and Crusade (still need to re go with Raiders). I thoroughly enjoyed them. I guess I'll be fair and give Skulls another go.

I agree that Skulls is weak compared to the others. But I was critical of it from the perspective of someone who forgot how ridiculous the originals were. That's all I'm saying.

In the same movie I mentioned with the raft, they're in a mining car that jumps over a gap in the tracks, flies in the air, and then lands on the tracks on the other side. Lol. It's like a cartoon.

There’s an enormous difference in a fun rafting scene, where there’s a million to one chance of living, and locking yourself in a fridge and surviving a nuclear bomb at ground zero and ignoring the radiation wave that would incinerate you...after surviving such bullshit.

Removing the heart and occult shit all through the movies is, on the surface, impossible.

They had the shankara stones to actually try and put some science behind the fridge bullshit.

Then there’s Shia LeDewsh swinging with monkeys.

I’ll never watch that movie again in my life. It was fucking awful. The other three are amazing movies. George Lucas lost his mind after his midlife crisis.

the monkey swinging is clearly the worst part, and is skipped on every watch.

also they actually went with this take somehow....

that said... I like aliens and the movie could have been good.

You know what Netflix is like?

Imagine if Blockbuster had maybe a dozen movies for each genre. But any movie with overlapping genre gets a new cover and is added to that other genre's shelf. So they have like 100 movies, but it looks like they have 5,000. It's clever but annoying.

I like aliens, too. And anything having to do with ancient civilizations, especially the Mayans. So this was all in my wheel house.

My biggest criticism of the movie is at the end, when several thousand tons of rock and debris is swirling around at like 500 mph and Indiana Jones is standing at the edge of the canyon like it's fireworks. Any not crazy human being would be shivering in fear behind something heavy and he's all like, "take me to your leader".

Everyone checked that they aren't still on the DVD plan? My friend just looked at his Account/Plan Details and was still being charged for the DVD plan. Saved like $10 or something.

Didn't know that existed. I need to check when I get home.

if you're paying more than $14 you are most definitely on the DVD plan.

(I don't pay and leech from family. I do give them access to my plex library so I think it's a fair trade)

The Warning. A Mexican (or something weird) movie, in all Spanish (I guess?). But there's a constant reminder of 311 in this movie. Not just because of SA being, like, Mexican. It has to do with Nick.

Solo is now on Netflix. Been looking forward to seeing it again, in hopes that MAYBE it's not as bad as I thought it was in the theater.

Kinda like talking yourself into liking a new 311 album.
