A bunch of people were complaining about this today, and, at first, I thought it was a global setting for the board, but it's actually just an option in your preferences. Go to your account's Preferences screen and uncheck these options... Also, go to your "Watched Threads" screen and disable email notifications for the threads that are already setup to send them. (Unchecking the options in your account's Preferences screen will only stop the e-mails and watched threads going forward.) (Sorry if this is old news.)
