Yawn.... Madres going all in for 2nd place. Its cute
Haha. Excellent response.
I've never been a big fan of baseball ... it's okay ... but after being cooped up for the past year, I'm seriously considering making it a goal to go to at least 2 games a month ... we live a lot closer to a great little single A team and not far from the Reds either so wtf not? ... plus my dog will go absolutely ape shit to go to the park with me
Disappointed in the return but there is some logic to it. Gotta see how the rest of the offseason plays out but the Cubs are out of the World Series conversation for at least the next two seasons. I can go all sorts of in depths about what led to this point but I won't bore you.
I will be rooting for Yu to help take down Evil Empire West though. @jukeboxgroove
Losing Hank Aaron ripped a part of me away, something small that I thought I wouldn't notice. It hurt bad.
The Sandlot came out when I was going into the 1st grade in 1993. I have seen the movie no less than 100 times in my life. I watched it so much growing up that I can play the scene in my head where Benny talks to Babe Ruth about Hank Aaron's rookie card. As a lifelong baseball card collector I was always wowed by the fact Benny didn't hesitate when Babe Ruth stole his Hank Aaron rookie card.
@Ron Swanson's Mustache sad to see Joc go. Wonder if he will learn how to hit lefties. Hurts our depth
This shit is crazy. Cant believe the Rockies pulled the trigger on that return
January 29, 2021 - The Friday Night Heist
can't wait. it's an absolute buzz and excitement here in Cardinals nation.
Bauer down to LA or NY. Hes from LA. Pay him whatever he wants as long as the years are right. Dodgers would be his best chance at a ring, tho Mets mean business
BOOM!!!! Just like I said, pay him whatever as long as the years are right
He's crazy, he's good... not sure he's worth crazy good money.
I haven't seen him pitch much, but looks like he has some electric stuff. Fits in with the LA analytical FO. We've prob got 2 years to see if he's worth it. With the opt outs, he has incentive to really pitch well and have a team give him a long term deal.
My personal favorite moment of his. Lol he was gone the next day.
His analytics, prep work, spin rates, pure insanity for the game and his competitive edge make it a lot of fun to watch him pitch. I suppose I'll root for him and hope his Cy Young for the Reds wasn't a pure fluke.
Trevor Bauer is the John Feldmann of Tanner Roarks.
Let's run it back!!
First, disgusted at the Cardinals getting Arenado and basically not having to give up much of anything to do so. Fuckinig Cardinals voodoo bullshit. I'm hoping being away from Coors has some kind of impact.
I was happy with the Joc signing for the price. The Cubs aren't winning a World Series this year so my hope is he has a great 1st half and they can flip him for a good prospect. As you mentioned, he's terrible against lefties and is suited for a platoon role but it sounds like the Cubs are going to play him everyday initially. We'll see how long that lasts.
Madres extend Tatis, 14 yrs $340M
