Tonight was Rebelution at the Orpheum.

They absolutely killed it!!! Just such quality music and catchy as hell. Every other time Ive seen them I wasn't fully paying attention, jamming, dancing talking with friends, drunk high wit yall

But tonight I was locked in and sober. Theyre so talented and put on a great show. Also best lighting Ive seen in a long time

    311 Day is next

    TOOL/APC in May

Currently have tickets to see Pink and Beck. Excited for both of those.

Found myself contemplating a 311 day excursion this morning.

I’ll catch flack for this, but I’m going to see Dirty Heads tonight at the 21st SweetWater brewery anniversary party around the corner from my house.

    311 Day is next!

You sure will! Sweetwater brewery hosts illegal underground cockatiel fights! You make me sick!

When I posted my catching flack was in reference to the band, not the venue. I’ve never heard that or seen press on the topic. Do you have a link so I can read up?

My weekends are spent enjoying the trails and river/lakes/creeks around the city, so I support their commitment to the clean water alliance and maintaining waterways around the city.

If they played mostly Port and Cabin, then all good. Unfortunately everything after that is garbage imo

Lol! Did not expect that you wouldn’t catch my silliness.
Yes I thought your reference to the band was obvious, hence the joke that I’d give you flack for the brewery... having illegal fights of adorable house birds. 0C55726C-DDEB-420E-B31C-0C09B6293E96.jpeg
I have failed at trying to make you laugh.

Haha! My pre-coffee brain totally read that as underground cock fights and took you seriously. I was like 1) why is this guy fucking with me so early in the day, and 2) why would the owners do such a thing?! Now I need to rethink my blueberry essenced beer choices.

Dirty Heads has begun to compete with Pepper for douchiest band in the white boy reggae scene. Their last couple of albums have been embarrassing, but I imagine there's still fun to be had at a show if they play a good amount of stuff from their first 2-3 albums.

It's the first 2 for me and their last show only had 5 songs from those out of a 21 song set

I would much rather go see Pepper at this point

I like almost their entire catalog actually. Just because a band changes doesn't mean I give up. Plus I think they are fun as fuck live. Plus the borgeous remix that they play after the show ends hypes me the fuck up.

If DH is in town, I try to go.

Steven Wilson in May. Only thing planned so far. Not seeing myself going to too many shows this year since I’ll be in London most of the summer. We shall see

    As of today:

    311 - March 10/11
311 - April 19th/20th (Red Rocks and Orpheum in Colorado - first time ever at Red Rocks or visiting CO. Cubs also play the Rockies that weekend so the timing was great)
    Def Leppard/Journey - July 14th at Wrigley
Foo Fighters - July 29th at Wrigley
    Pearl Jam - August 18th & 20th at Wrigley

Smashing Pumpkins tix went on sale today as well. Didn't buy any yet but will most likely try to go to that show.

I failed to mention I went to New Politics with the gf on Weds. She LOVED them over the summer.

It was even worse than the Summer tour, wish is saying a lot. They only played like 2 songs from the sets this summer, so I really had NO CLUE what they were playing, tons of teeny boppers all around.

Not drinking right now so I was stone cold sober, which means I was 10 feet from the stage, 6'4" towering over the crowd, stone walling them the entire time. Lead singer saw me several times and was trying to get a reaction, but NOPE

their first album was great and they were fun live. their 2nd album was trash and brought in all those teeny/pop/q101 people.
